Summertime, Summertime, Sum Sum Summertime

I have loved summertime all of my life.  It usually means being in or near the water, having picnics, and fun with relatives and friends.

Summer wouldn't be complete without the heat loving bougainvillea in full bloom.

Several years ago, we took this photo of a much younger group of relatives and friends.

Here I am at Lake Zurich in Illinois with my friend Pamela and her brother.  Can't wait to get in the water.

Adam was such a beach boy and loved finding shells, rocks and crabs.

Heather and family love the beach so much that they made a Christmas card of it.

Music is a big part of summertime, and it's always fun to dance to your favorite tune after a day of swimming, food and fun.  Our favorite is "All The Way" by  Frank Sinatra.  

Backyard Barbeque

Everyone loves a backyard barbeque, and we are no exception.  When Scott, Kim, Amanda and Valerie come over, we always have such a good time.

Anyway, the girls always enjoy a dip in the pool.

I just love my barbeque king.  He does such a great job with any meal.
